It was a wonderful show! I'm going to pass on your names so others can enjoy this as much as we did.

Let your students join actress and singer Sally Ramirez,
and professional guitarist Doug Robinson
on a multicultural journey through the music of
Latin America, Brazil, and the Caribbean!

Singing songs in Spanish, Portuguese, and English, Sally and Doug give students an appreciation for the musical styles and values of different cultures.

Sally is a classically trained vocalist with a stunning stage presence, and Doug is a guitarist with years of international touring experience. Together, they are able to impart the joy of musical celebration to young people, while educating them about the different composers, and the cultural values which inspired their work.

The assembly program features music by Antonio Carlo Jobim , Rafael Hernandez, Antonio Caban Vale, Meredith Wilson, and others.

...educational, engaging and entertaining. The youth were captivated... The kids are still talking about the songs and music, and have asked if you could ever come back!

I wanted to thank you for the wonderful music and songs you brought to the school last Friday for our annual Cinco de Mayo celebration! The show was fun, engaging for the younger kids and the older ones, and offered a great variety of songs and music. You did a terrific job of involving everyone in the concert and it was great to have the children hear songs in Spanish.  They obviously enjoyed singing along!

"Latin & World Music: A Journey In Song" also comes in a more sophisticated version for middle and high school students!
Music has a way of reaching our hearts and bringing us into the "story" of the music, allowing us to transcend attitudes that keep people separated, while celebrating our cultural differences and heritages. This is my purpose in performing for students.

It was a great cultural experience having Sally Ramirez and Doug Robinson visit our rural school in Edmeston, NY. Their music and language background enhanced student learning
at all ages. It was a pleasure to work with them.
